Bangkok-Based Seara Sports Secures Title Sponsorhip Of Everest Marathon

SEARA adds a new dimension to the world’s most extreme high-altitude race by setting up a fitness center for the athletes at Mt. Everest Base Camp (5364m)

BANGKOK 27/2/24: SPORTS ENGINEERING AND RECREATION ASIA, Ltd. (SEARA), an industry leader in Sports and Fitness, proudly announces its title sponsorship of the prestigious Mt. Everest Marathon and introduces a groundbreaking initiative – the establishment of a pop-up fitness facility at Everest Base Camp.

As the title sponsor, SEARA is honored to be an integral part of the world’s highest marathon, set against and awe-inspiring backdrop of the Himalayas. This collaboration underscores SEARA’s commitment to promoting physical well-being, resilience, and the pursuit of extraordinary challenges.

In a pioneering move, SEARA is set to revolutionize the experience for participants and enthusiasts by introducing a pop-up fitness facility at Everest Base Camp. This innovative initiative aims to provide extreme athletes with a dedicated space to prepare and train amidst the unique challenges posed by high-altitude conditions.

“We are excited to not only sponsor the Mt. Everest Marathon but to enhance the overall experience by introducing a small fitness facility at Base Camp. This aligns perfectly with our vision of providing best in class products to foster health, wellness, and to push the boundaries of human achievement”, said George Foose, Founder and CEO of Sports Engineering and Recreation Asia (SEARA).

In addition to promoting physical fitness, SEARA remains dedicated to environmental sustainability. In sponsoring this race and setting up the fitness facility, SEARA promises to adhere to eco-friendly practices, emphasizing our commitment to preserving the pristine beauty of the Everest region.

The high-altitude Everest Marathon is held on May 29 every year, celebrating the historical ascent of Mt. Everest by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary on that date in 1953.

The Everest Marathon starts at 5,364m from Mt. Everest Base Camp finishing at Namche Bazaar.

The 2024 marathon is the 19th edition of this magnificent event and will see runners from around the world converge on Mt. Everest to compete in the 70 km Extreme Ultramarathon, 42 km Full Marathon, and the 21 km Half Marathon.

The Mt. Everest Marathon, now proudly powered by SEARA, will serve as a platform for individuals to test their limits, embrace challenges, and achieve feats previously thought impossible. The addition of the fitness center at Base Camp further emphasizes SEARA’s dedication to empowering individuals on their journey to conquer new heights.
